To enhance the discharge effect of "dextrin" used in health foods and confectionery from silos, we have adopted the BroaDisk. Since the installation of the equipment, there have been no occurrences of bridging phenomena or other blockages, allowing for stable discharge. We have installed eight BroaDisks for a 1600φ silo. While it may seem like a somewhat high number, the BroaDisk is low-cost, making it easy to introduce multiple units. This enables even more stable discharge. Additionally, the operation does not activate all eight units simultaneously; instead, they are turned on sequentially at multiple locations, which limits air usage. To prevent bridging of fibrous powder materials in the screw feeder hopper, we have decided to install this bridge breaker. This bridge breaker features a rubber disk that is in close contact with the inner wall of the hopper when the air is OFF. When the air is ON, this rubber disk slightly lifts off the inner wall of the hopper, allowing air to be injected through the gap onto the inner wall. At the same time, the elastic disk vibrates.
